I’ve been putting up some posts on a topic that is near and dear to me: organ donation. In less than a month, I will celebrate a one year anniversary with my friend Mimi from high school . It will be one year since we both went into the hospital. I had a hand assisted left nephrectomy. That’s a fancy term for the removal of a kidney. Mimi received my transplanted kidney (EVE).

Over the years, I have learned the importance of keeping quiet when necessary, of not telling the secrets of others, or revealing too much about myself to the wrong person.
